North Carolina moved up in the latest AP Top 25, but not by much.
The Tar Heels climbed one spot from No. 18 to No. 17. The move comes one week after they went 2-0 with wins over then-No. 24 Louisville and Virginia Tech. Carolina sits at 23-6 overall and 11-5 in ACC play, good for fourth in the conference.

Despite freshman star Caleb Wilson still being out with a hand injury, the Tar Heels are 4-1 without him. Their lone loss in that stretch was to NC State, a game in which Henri Veesaar also did not play. UNC coach Hubert Davis said Saturday that Wilson’s brace is off as he nears a return to the floor, and he could be back next week for the ACC Tournament.
North Carolina still has two critical games against Clemson and Duke, including a rematch Saturday of the thriller from earlier this season that the Tar Heels won on a Seth Trimble buzzer-beater.
