Notre Dame alum Brianna Turner is signing with the WNBA’s Indiana Fever as a free agent.
The Fever will be getting a shot-blocker — Turner, a forward, has been nominated to the WNBA All-Defensive Team twice.
“I am ecstatic to join the Fever organization and compete for a championship,” Turner said in a team-provided statement. “I was drawn to the team’s commitment to investing in women and providing the best professional atmosphere for success. The front office and coaching staff have assembled a dynamic roster that I’m looking forward to learning from and growing with throughout the season.”
Turner was drafted 11th overall by Atlanta in 2019 and immediately traded to Phoenix. She was an all-rookie selection with the Mercury in 2019 and earned her All-Defensive Team nods in 2020 and 2021, finishing in the WNBA’s top eight for blocks each of those years. She was with the Mercury for five seasons and played for the Chicago Sky in 2024.
