Notre Dame is number one.
The Fighting Irish have vaulted past the UCLA Bruins to move to No. 1 in the USA Today Sports women’s basketball coaches poll.
This follows a 64-49 victory over the Duke Blue Devils at the Purcell Pavilion in South Bend on Monday.
Notre Dame got 23 of 31 first-place votes and now occupies the top spot for the first time since January 2019.
Texas is now No. 2, with previous No. 1 UCLA falling to third after the Bruins lost their first game of the season, falling to the USC Trojans. USC is now No. 4 in the poll.
