It’s not all roses and sunshine for Notre Dame football recruiting, even if it has had tons of recent success on the trail.
Saturday was another example of that, as 2027 tight end Seneca Driver surprisingly committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. The 6-foot, 6-inch and 234-pounder has set up two visits to see South Bend, one for a Junior Day this spring and an official visit with other top recruits in mid-June according to 247Sports.

It remains to be seen if the nation’s No. 56 overall prospect in the class according to the 247Sports Composite will make some of his previously scheduled visits. If Notre Dame can convince Driver to get back to campus, then a flip watch could be happening. However, if that is not the case, then don’t expect Driver to be part of the Irish’s 2027 recruiting class.
