There has been some luster taken off the first Wednesday of February, as Notre Dame along with many schools across the country sign the majority of their prospects during the early signing period.

The Irish still had a few players that did not sign for various reasons, but that changed on this morning. Notre Dame capped with class with quarterback Teddy Jarrard and kicker Micah Drescher, who made it official to complete their recruitments.

Jarrard’s story was unique, as he was originally at 2027 verbal, but opted to graduate early from high school and get a faster start on his collegiate career. He was recently named as the top 2026 quarterback with the most NFL upside which was a great sight to see for the Irish. Multiple teams tried to flip him as well, but he held firm in his commitment to the Irish. Jarrard enters the program as the No. 231 overall player in the class according to the 247Sports Composite.

Drescher also had a different route to end up in South Bend, as the originally signed with Michigan, but following their dismissal of Sherrone Moore, he was granted his release. He then would make the decision to join the Irish, which was a big recruiting win. According to Chris Sailer Kicking, he’s the No. 1 kicker in the country.

These two complete a 28-player class that could be the foundation for years to come. Notre Dame has one of the top classes in the country, and as long as Marcus Freeman is running the program, this should be the norm going forward.
