All season long Hannah Hidalgo has been adding to her list of awards and accolades and it turns out the ACC Women’s conference tournament gave her yet another opportunity.
Despite Notre Dame falling short of their goal of winning the tournament, Hannah’s strong play could not be ignored and she can now add “ACC conference tournament first team” to the list of hardware she has won, alongside her second-straight Player of the Year and Defensive player of the Year awards.

Hidalgo opened the tournament scoring 28-points vs Miami, as well as grabbing 8-rebounds, five-steals, and five-assists. She also shot 12 of 22 from the field as the fifth-seeded Irish defeated the Hurricanes. The very next day, Hannah had another 25-point performance in an 81-63 victory over NC State. And on Saturday, despite the loss to Duke, Hannah finished with a game-high 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists as the Irish were almost able to pull off the upset.
The tournament performance was an extension to her already super successful junior season. She entered the postseason averaging over 25 points per game, while leading the nation in steals. She has already broken the program single-season and career records in steals as well.
The Irish were not able to win out this past weekend but will get another opportunity to do it when the national tournament brackets are released. And with that, another opportunity for Hannah to gain even more national attention and hardware.
