Notre Dame women’s basketball has added former Duke guard Vanessa de Jesus out of the transfer portal to its 2025-26 roster, the school announced on Tuesday.
De Jesus is Notre Dame’s third transfer portal get, joining Malaya Cowles from Wake Forest and Gisela Sanchez from Arizona. They join fellow scholarship players Hannah Hidalgo, Cassandre Prosper and KK Bransford for the 2025-26 season.

While spending four years with the Blue Devils, de Jesus played in 102 games with 18 starts and averaged 4.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and a half a steal per game.

Notre Dame beat Duke, 64-49, in the regular season and then the Blue Devils eliminated the Irish from the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, 61-56, on March 8. De Jesus did not play in the Irish win, but the 5-foot-8 guard came off the bench in the Irish loss to play 13 minutes and score seven points.

“We are super grateful for the addition of Vanessa!” Notre Dame coach Niele Ivey said in a release. “Vanessa has an incredible motor and high IQ that will translate perfectly in our offense. She is a three-level scorer and a relentless competitor!”
The Valencia, Calif., native played for the Phillipines at the 2023 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup and averaged 12.8 points and 3.2 assists in the tournament.
