Now former Notre Dame football quarterback Riley Leonard has one more big event, the Irish’s Pro Day which is on Thursday, before he finds out where he will get selected in the NFL draft.
While he is getting prepared, Leonard just can’t stay away for the Guglielmino Athletics Complex, aka the GUG. He was spotted checking out Wednesday’s spring practice, as this clip below from On3’s Tyler Horka shows.
It was quite the match between the Irish and Leonard this past year, as he helped guide them all the way to a spot in the College Football Playoff Championship game. Unfortunately, it didn’t fall Notre Dame’s way, but it was more than a memorable season.
It’s safe to say that Leonard wishes that he had more years of eligibility to suit up wearing the Blue and Gold, but we’ll now cheer him on as he soon finds out where he will play at the next level.
NFL Draft hopeful quarterback Riley Leonard was back at Notre Dame to observe Fighting Irish football practice Wednesday. He shared a brief conversation and a few smiles with head coach Marcus Freeman.
