Ohio State basketball is not done putting its roster together for next year.

The Buckeyes are set to meet with Kansas State transfer guard Abdi Bashir as the Buckeyes continue to reshape their roster through the transfer portal.

Bashir, a Kansas State transfer, is one of the most polished guards in the transfer portal, coming off of a season where he averaged 13.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.3 assists for Kansas State this past season while shooting 44.4% from the 3-point stripe. The 6-foot-7 guard entered the transfer portal with one year left of eligibility.

Bashir began his college career at Monmouth, where he quickly established himself as a perimeter threat and major offensive option. Over two seasons with the Hawks, he scored nearly 900 career points and shot 38.4% from beyond the arc, earning first-team All-CAA honors in 2024-25 after averaging 20.1 points per game.

Ohio State has already made early moves in the portal. Former Cal and Michigan guard Justin Pippen and former Kentucky forward Andrija Jelavić both committed to the Buckeyes last week, giving coach Jake Diebler help in the backcourt and frontcourt as he works to rebuild a roster that has already seen several departures.
