Ohio State football commit, Chris Henry Jr. has setup a number official visits for the upcoming months with one to Miami in May and three in June that include USC, Oregon and of course Ohio State. The five-star receiver from California has been committed as a Buckeye since July 28, 2023, but OSU fans are allowed to be a tad anxious considering there is enough time from now until pen meets paper for something fishy to occur, especially in the new NIL filled college football landscape.
A consensus top five receiver in the class of 2026, it is no secret that every school is wanting a piece of Henry and it doesn’t appear anyone is going to stop pursuing just because he “committed” to Ohio State. It will be interesting to see how the recent promotion of Brian Hartline effects his recruitment as most would consider their position coach getting a promotion as a major plus.
Henry has commented on the news of the Hartline promotion saying that he loves this move and “Coach Hartline knows how to develop receivers better than anyone, and now with him as OC I know he’s going to put us receivers in the best position to dominate for sure.”
The Buckeyes are working hard to put together a historic class for 2026 and the 6-foot, 5-inch star is a big part of that class. Players with his mixture of size and speed do not come around very often and he has the potential to make an impact early and often wherever he lands.
