
Tucker Smith, a three-star offensive tackle from Phoenix, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Wednesday night.
It continued a recent hot stretch on the recruiting trail for the Buckeyes, who have received commitments from three high school offensive linemen this month.

The pledge from Smith followed ones from Sam Greer and Maxwell Riley, who are the top-ranked offensive linemen in Ohio in the 2026 recruiting class. Greer committed on Tuesday.

Smith is the No. 844 overall prospect in the class, according to the composite rankings from 247Sports. Multiple recruiting services list him as 6 feet 5 and 248 pounds.

During a visit to Ohio State for a spring practice last Friday, he picked up a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes, and another from Penn State two days later.
The series of commitments in the trenches coincide with Tyler Bowen’s hiring as offensive line coach last month. Bowen replaced Justin Frye, who left for the same position with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals after three seasons with the Buckeyes.
