Ohio State football adds experienced offensive lineman from portal

Just when we think the transfer portal and all of its chaos are winding down, Ohio State football has nabbed some help in the trenches out of the other side.

Former Dartmouth offensive tackle Vasean Washington took to our favorite social media platform, X, on Wednesday to announce that he’s transferring to the banks of the Olentangy after visiting tropical Columbus last Friday. At 6-foot, 5-inches, and 285 pounds, Washington is an Ohio native hailing from Springfield High School.

Washington played four years at the Ivy League school and excelled at right tackle last year, allowing zero sacks in eight games last season. He started at other spots on the offensive line as well, showing that he could plug in wherever there is a need for Ohio State. He had other starts at left guard and left tackle. He will have one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.
