Every week during the Ohio State football season, the creative team on the banks of the Olentangy drops a theatrical trailer centered around the next game on the schedule. Those typically occur on Thursdays, but the creative team did a little something different this week since the Buckeyes are breaking the seal on the season.
On Monday, the “Ohio State Buckeyes” X account dropped a short, hype video to help you understand and get in the mood for the first official game week. It is very simply titled, “It’s. Officially. Game. Week.”

Just saying that alone should get OSU fans feeling a certain type of way for the start of a season where the Buckeyes are sitting on the throne as the reigning and defending College Football Playoff national champions. Add in the fact that Ohio State is hosting No. 1 Texas, and things should be about as high of a fever pitch as it can be.
We still expect the usual trailer to come our way on Thursday of this week, which we’ll share as well, but take a look at this short video to get you in the right frame of mind early in the week. In it, you can hear the passion head coach Ryan Day has for his players. Let’s hope it translates onto the field.
Five days and counting. We’ll continue to bring you more leading up to the start of the season and will, of course, have content just before, during, and after the game on Saturday and beyond.
