It is now officially the offseason of college football, but Ohio State is still basking in the glow of its ninth national championship in program history. However, the page is turning quickly, especially in today’s day in age with the expanded timeline of the new, 12-team College Football Playoff model. There is a ton of roster and staff turnover, new players coming in, and all that goes with the transfer portal and Name, Image and Likeness.
There’s no rest for the weary, but that’s probably just how OSU head coach Ryan Day likes it, especially after bringing home the ultimate prize of a national championship trophy. He has appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and more — including an appearance on the Joel Klatt Show, a popular college football podcast. That show was taped on Monday and dropped on Tuesday.
It was a wide-ranging interview touching on multiple subjects, but it’s well worth a watch or listen to hear Day discuss what went into this season, how he managed things, were the college game is going, the roster and coaching staff turnover, and much, much more.
