Ohio State transfer CB Aaron Scott Jr. looking to visit Oregon

by

With a bevy of cornerbacks officially entering the transfer portal over the past week for the Oregon Ducks, the position has suddenly become thin for head coach Dan Lanning.

Fortunately for the Ducks, 247 Sports’ Tom Loy has reported that Ohio State transfer cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. is looking to visit Oregon in the near future. The former Buckeye is currently on a visit to Wisconsin and is also looking to visit LSU.

Scott is rated as a three-star in the transfer portal, the No. 14 cornerback and No. 229 player overall. He was a four-star in the 2024 recruiting class and ranked as the No. 5 cornerback and No. 51 player overall, per 247 Sports Composite.

Scott saw little time in two seasons at Ohio State, recording just two tackles as a true freshman and appearing in seven games for the national champion Buckeyes. He saw a bit more time as a sophomore in 2025, as he finished the season with nine tackles.

The 6-foot, 195-pounder from Springfield, OH, appears to need a change of scenery to jumpstart his career, something that could happen in Eugene with the Ducks. Oregon has seen success from secondary transfers in 2025 from Dillon Thieneman (Purdue), Jadon Canady (Ole Miss) and Theran Johnson (Northwestern), with Scott potentially adding his name to that list come 2026.

The former Buckeye will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
