NORMAN — Oklahoma football continued its hot recruiting day Saturday with a massive win.

The Sooners landed the No. 1 tight end in the 2027 class as Seneca Driver chose OU over Kentucky and Notre Dame, he told On3/Rivals.

Following Driver’s commitment, the Sooners now have the No. 1 2027 recruiting class nationally, per Rivals’ team rankings. OU jumped Ohio State and Texas A&M.

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound prospect from Danville, Kentucky, is the Sooners’ fourth commitment on Saturday after four-star safety Jaylen Scott,  three-star offensive lineman Tyson Ross and four-star quarterback Jamison Roberts pledged earlier Saturday.

The commitments came during OU’s massive “Future Freaks” recruiting weekend as the program is hosting over 30 recruits.

Driver is the Sooners’ first 2027 tight end pledge and 18th commit.
