The Oklahoma Sooners 2026 recruiting class is off to a nice start. They have three players committed to the class, all on the offensive side of the ball, including four-star quarterback Jaden O’Neal.
O’Neal is scheduled to be in Norman next weekend when the Oklahoma Sooners host the Alabama Crimson Tide. But this week, he’ll head to Boulder to take in Shedeur Sanders when he and the Buffaloes take on the Utah Utes, according to Steve Wiltfong of On3.
O’Neal is currently ranked as the No. 13 quarterback in the class and is the No. 188 player overall. He’s been committed to the Sooners since June. There’s no indication that he’s softened on his commitment to the Sooners but amid the Sooners uncertainty at offensive coordinator, it’s understandable the talented prospect out of California would keep his options open.
This year is simply an aberration for the Sooners on offense. But how they rebound comes down to who takes the reins of the offense in a few weeks. Who the Sooners hire could have ripple effects on the 2026 quarterback class.
