The Oklahoma Sooners added another big-time commitment in the 2027 recruiting class, earning a pledge from four-star defensive lineman Elija Harmon on Sunday.
Harmon is the sixth blue-chip prospect to join the Sooners’ 2027 class and the 11th commitment overall. He’s the first interior defensive line addition, joining four-star defensive end Krew Jones to give Oklahoma a pair of dynamic players for their defensive front.

A California native, Harmon has the ability to play both interior defensive line spots. He has the size and play strength to hold up blockers at the point of attack. He also displays the athleticism and quickness to penetrate opposing interior offensive lines in both the run and pass game. He’s currently listed at 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, and the size stands out on film.
Harmon chose the Sooners over a number of Power Four offers, including USC, Oregon, and many more.
