Oklahoma Sooners projected to land 2026 4-star offensive lineman

by

Coming out of a big recruiting weekend full of official visitors, the Oklahoma Sooners have continued to create momentum for 2026 interior offensive lineman Noah Best. Best is a four-star prospect who hails from Midlothian, Texas.

The Sooners have been the favorite to land Best for some time but have to fend off schools like Texas Tech, Missouri, Kansas State, and SMU, places he’s had official visits with and that were in his top five. The Sooners had the pleasure of hosting Best over the weekend, and it appears they’ve continued to make a strong impression.

Best was projected to land with the Oklahoma Sooners by Missouri recruiting analyst for Rivals Kenny Van Doren. According to OUInsider’s Parker Thune, “As of this weekend, a commitment from Best feels closer than ever, per our sources on the matter.”

The first thing that stands out about Best is his physicality. He’s a force at the point of attack and imposes his will on defenders. Best moves really well in space. He shows the athleticism to pull across the formation and climb to the second level in the run game. As a pass protector, Best displays really good footwork. He doesn’t allow defenders to beat him around the edge. He’s a strong player. Once he gets his hands on the rusher, they don’t go anywhere.

His physicality and ability to move will be his greatest assets as he moves to the collegiate level. Though he projects as a guard, his experience at offensive tackle gives him the position flexibility to make an impact at multiple spots along the offensive line.

Now, all the Oklahoma Sooners have to do is lock down that commitment.
