The Oklahoma Sooners are red-hot on the recruiting trail and are showing no sign of slowing down. Four-star athlete Greydon Howell committed to them on Sunday, becoming the fifth player they have landed over the past two days.
Howell is from Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and picked the Sooners over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Miami Hurricanes, Stanford Cardinal, and Arkansas Razorbacks. He visited Oklahoma over the weekend, attending their Future Freaks recruiting event.

He is enjoying a dominant career at Broken Bow High School, where he plays football, basketball, baseball, and track. While he will likely play wideout for the Sooners, he has played quarterback at Brown Bow, completing 62.2% of his passes for 2,817 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions as a junior. He also ran for 1,514 yards and 20 touchdowns.
He is also the 4A state champion in the 400 meters and Broken Bow’s all-time scoring leader in basketball. He is the third in-state recruit that Brent Venables has landed, joining five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett and four-star offensive tackle Kaeden Penny.
Howell has an 86.00 grade in the Rivals industry ranking, making him the No. 425 overall player and No. 13 athlete in the country. They are much higher on him than other recruiting sites, though. They have given him a 90.00 grade, making him the No. 10 athlete and a four-star prospect.
Oklahoma now has 19 player commitments in its 2027 recruiting class, with 12 of them considered blue-chip prospects. The group is ranked as the best in the country and features five top 100 prospects.
