The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team is finally scheduling a game that fans have wanted to see for quite some time in Eugene.

The Pacific Northwest matchup hasn’t occurred since 2019, when Gonzaga came away with a 73-72 overtime victory in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

The Ducks lead the all-time series 19-4 over the Bulldogs, with the majority of the games dating back over 50 years.

The meeting will feature two of the best coaches in the country in Oregon’s Dana Altman and Gonzaga’s Mark Few, with Altman having 780 career wins to Few’s 742. They rank 16th and 22nd, respectively, in head coaching wins in college basketball history.

This will be a coveted ticket at the Moda Center, giving fans an early Christmas present with two Pacific Northwest teams facing off.
