A couple of star players were back from injury layoffs last week against Washington when wide receiver Tez Johnson and defensive end Jordan Burch returned to the lineup.
A few more players also appear to be on the verge of returning as the Ducks seem to be getting healthier as they begin postseason play at 5 p.m. Saturday against Penn State in the Big Ten Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Here is an unofficial list of players who have known injuries or who were listed on the Big Ten Conference availability report prior to Oregon’s win against the Huskies.
Oregon football injury report ahead of game vs. Penn State
Matthew Bedford — The offensive lineman and one-time projected starter at guard is officially out for the season with a knee injury. He had been limited this season to just a few snaps at the end of the Oregon State game in Week 3.
Jahlil Florence — The nine-game starter at cornerback last season continues to work his way back from a knee injury that occurred last November against Arizona State. He has been listed as out for every game so far this season, but has been participating at practice in recent weeks.
My’Keil Gardner — The redshirt freshman, who was expected to provide depth along the defensive line this fall, has been out all season with an undisclosed injury. Last week against Washington he was listed as “questionable” instead of “out” on the Big Ten availability report for the first time this season, though he didn’t play.
Tionne Gray — The freshman defensive tackle was listed as out against Washington. He’s played in just four games this season and not since the win against Illinois on Oct. 26.
Marcus Harper II — The senior starting right guard suffered a leg injury in the fourth quarter against Michigan on Nov. 2 and has missed the last three games. He was designated as questionable against Washington but didn’t play.
Kyler Kasper — The sophomore receiver is out for the season with an undisclosed injury. His last game was against UCLA on Sept. 28.
Roger Saleapaga — The freshman reserve tight end was a new addition to the availability report last week and he was designated as being out for the season with an undisclosed injury.
Keyon Ware-Hudson — The senior defensive tackle was listed as questionable last week and didn’t play against the Huskies, ending his streak of 38 straight games played.
