The Oregon Ducks are set to enter a new era of the program in 2025, moving on from the Dillon Gabriel era and moving on to the Dante Moore era in Eugene.
With that new era comes a lot of hope and anticipation from the fanbase as they prepare to enjoy a homegrown quarterback rather than a one or two-year transfer portal player. While Moore is technically a transfer from UCLA, he initially committed to Oregon out of high school and joined the Ducks after one year with the Bruins.
Moore isn’t the only Moore who fans are excited to see this spring, though. Duck fans are also keen to watch true freshman 5-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, the No. 1 WR in the 2026 recruiting class.
We are a few weeks away from spring football, which will start when fans get a chance to see what the two Moores can do on the field. Lucky for the fanbase, a video has been making waves on social media that gives a sneak preview of what is to come.
Dante Moore is shown throwing some passes to Dakorien and other receivers in the Moshofsky Center this offseason, and fans have certainly enjoyed the content.
While Moore is considered the starter for Oregon, he will have to compete with Austin Novosad and Luke Moga for the position this spring before ultimately being named the QB1. Meanwhile, Dakorien is being thought of as a potential starter at the wide receiver position as a true freshman. Still, there is a lot of competition for that spot as well, with guys like Jurrion Dickey, Kyler Kasper, and Justius Lowe all vying for a bigger role as well.
