Otsego takes advantage of Sturgis foul trouble, beats Trojans

STURGIS — Aided by a huge foul advantage and Sturgis miscues, the Otsego basketball team won on the road Tuesday evening.

Sturgis dropped the home game 67-62 in a game where the Trojans battled significant foul trouble. Six players finished with three fouls or better, including a pair of players who fouled out of the contest with five. It hampered the Trojans ability to stay in rhythm and made for a game which saw a lead dwindle down and Otsego ultimately hang on for the win.

The Bulldogs took 32 foul shots in the game, 15 more than Sturgis’ 17 attempt. Otsego connected on 19 from the stripe in the game as well, putting a big dent in anything Sturgis attempted to do.
