With Richardson’s commitment, the Sooners have added their third defensive line recruit this month, following pledges from four-star Jake Kreul and three-star James Carrington.

Richardson joins Carrington and three-star Brian Harris as the Sooners‘ third interior defensive line commit in their 2026 class.

Richardson, the 6-foot-5, 295-pound lineman out of Hopewell High School in Hopewell, Virginia, took official visits to OU, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Maryland and Syracuse this summer before making his decision.
