Now, after stringing together seven consecutive wins, ‘The Baddy’ has been booked to headline UFC 324 in an interim lightweight title clash against former interim champion Justin Gaethje.
As is often the case before one of Pimblett’s fights, there has been plenty of conversation about his weight cut, given how much weight he tends to put on outside of training camps.

While it is not unusual for fighters to bulk up outside of camp, his case stands out because of how drastically his appearance shifts during these periods.

Following his move to the UFC, he spoke candidly about why he puts on so much weight between bouts and did not hesitate to address fans’ concerns head-on.
“It’s crazy because I love fighting but I love eating lots and lots of food, so to do what I love in fighting, I have to take away the other thing I love, so it’s a double-edged sword,” the Briton said on his podcast.
He went on: “I think I appreciate my food a lot more now from when I started MMA. Well, I know for a fact I do – 100% I do.”
Pimblett has previously spoken about consuming more than 10,000 calories per day after fights and has even suggested he might be dealing with an eating disorder following claims that he once reached over 210lbs in between camps.

His interest in food does not just end at enjoying meals; he has also taken part in various eating challenges over the years.

Despite the ongoing concerns about Pimblett’s weight management, it is worth noting that he has never missed weight throughout his 14-year career.
With his bout against Gaethje approaching, Pimblett offered an update on his weight cut, saying he has less weight to lose than he did 12 hours before the Michael Chandler fight.
