Before Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers plays in her first WNBA season, she’s apparently taking another role off the court.
Bueckers, who was drafted first overall by the Wings in the 2025 WNBA Draft, has been impressive in the preseason so far. In her first game against the Las Vegas Aces, she registered 10 points, four rebounds and one assist.

On Saturday against Japanese team Toyota Antelopes, Bueckers led the way for Dallas in a 119-52 blowout. The former UConn Huskies star finished with 15 points, five boards and six dimes in 22 minutes of action.
Now, as the Wings prepare for the start of the 2025 campaign, Bueckers revealed some off-court news. Apparently, she partnered with DoorDash, and not just as a brand ambassador.
“Special delivery from PB & DD — officially a #DoorDashPartner! Let’s get it @doordash,” Bueckers wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of herself wearing a robe while lying in bed and surrounded by food.
According to DoorDash itself, Paige Bueckers is going to be “the first-ever athlete to take on a Creative Director role with the brand.” To start off the partnership, an exclusive shirt designed by Bueckers herself will be released for a limited time—from May 16 when the WNBA season kicks off until May 18.

“I was so excited when the opportunity presented itself to partner with DoorDash and serve as a Creative Director for the upcoming 2025-2026 WNBA season and I can’t wait for everyone to see the tee I worked on to celebrate the start of the W season,” Bueckers said in the press release shared by DoorDash.

It remains to be seen what’s next for Bueckers, but clearly, she’s making smart moves off the court as she capitalizes on her popularity and marketability.
As for her WNBA career, Bueckers is set to make her official pro debut in the season opener against the Minnesota Lynx on Friday.
