Michigan State basketball’s two portal additions this rank among the top 100 transfers this offseason.

The transfer portal is starting to quiet down in college hoops, with the deadline to enter passing earlier this week. There are still a number of big names in the portal that are looking for new homes, but the number of entries should dwindle down from this point forward.

Michigan State added a pair of transfer portal players this offseason – Kaleb Glenn from Florida Atlantic and Trey Fort from Samford. Both Glenn and Fort were included in the top 100 of 247Sports’ transfer portal rankings. Glenn came in at No. 83 and Fort at No. 85 — both are listed as four-star transfer prospects.

Glenn was first to commit to Michigan State in early April. He scored 12.6 points and gathered 4.8 rebounds per game this past season with Florida Atlantic.

Fort followed Glenn in becoming a Spartan about a week later. He averaged 14.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game this past season with Samford.

For rankings comparison, outgoing Spartans Tre Holloman (No. 113), Xavier Booker (No. 182) and Gehrig Normand (unranked) all ranked below Glenn and Fort in 247Sports’ rankings. So based on player rankings alone, Michigan State was a winner during the transfer portal this season when you look at who was added compared to who was lost.
