Kim Caldwell and the Lady Vols ended the season on an eight game losing streak, which included a first round exit in the NCAA Tournament, but the program is having a productive offseason so far.
Lady Vols head coach Kim Caldwell made a shrewd move last week, and Tennessee is reaping the benefits this week.

Caldwell hired assistant coach Isoken Uzamere away from the Georgia Bulldogs to replace Roman Tubner — who was fired by Caldwell — on Tennessee’s coaching staff.
Shortly after hiring Uzamere, two former Georgia players set up visits with Tennessee — guard Rylie Theuerkauf and forward Zhen Craft.
“After the Lady Vols added Isoken Uzamere to their staff, these two names shouldn’t come as much of a shock,” noted On3’s Goodman of the visits. “Sources told On3 that Georgia transfers Rylie Theuerkauf and Zhen Craft will be visiting the Lady Vols. Theuerkauf, a 5-9 junior guard from Tenafly (NJ), averaged 11.9 points per game last year, while shooting 41% from deep. Craft, a 6-2 freshman forward from Waldorf (MD), averaged 5.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.”

On Monday, part one of the plan fell into place when Craft committed to the Lady Vols.
Part two of the plan fell into place Tuesday when Theuerkauf committed to Tennessee.
The Lady Vols have now added five transfers this offseason.
Craft and Theuerkauf join guards Avery Mills and Naomi White and forward Harper Peterson as transfer additions for Tennessee.
Four-star guard Gabby Minus is the Lady Vols’ lone signee.
Caldwell, partially by choice and partially out of necessity, is flipping her entire roster this offseason.

And so far, Caldwell is nailing it. But the results on the court next season will be the ultimate judge of how this offseason went for the Lady Vols.
