Add Paulo Costa to the list of people Jean Silva is not a fan of.
Silva (16-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) started off by continuing to take shots at his former foe Bryce Mitchell, whom he submitted in his most recent fight at UFC 314.
“F*ck Bryce Mitchell,” Silva said in an interview with Full Send MMA. “We can explain that sometimes the energy just don’t match. That’s different people, different natures, different character, and that’s just how it is. It’s always been my whole life. If I don’t like you, I’ll just straight up say it to your face. I just don’t like you.”
In that rant, Silva included fellow Brazilian Costa, who’s three weight classes above him.
“Like ‘Borrachinha’ (Costa), I just don’t like him very much,” Silva continued. “But he’s huge, in a different weight class, so I’m never going to fight him. But in the streets, all bets are off. F*ck Paulo Costa.”
Costa responded to Silva’s comments.
“You Little dwarf pendejo naughty little child you’re so small for me.”
Silva meets Diego Lopes (26-7 MMA, 5-2 UFC) in Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 259 main event (ESPN+), the promotion’s annual Noche UFC celebration, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
