Penn State basketball’s Big Ten schedule revealed for 2026-27 season

by

Penn State’s men’s basketball team’s struggles have been well documented at this point. They got off to an impressive 8-1 start last year before swiftly regressing after the introduction of conference play. Lacking top-end scoring and experience, the Nittany Lions won just four games the rest of the way and now find themselves in the midst of a pivotal offseason.

They are shuffling around their roster while also trying to establish some semblance of balance and consistency on the court next season. While they are focused on shoring up the roster for next season, the NCAA released the team’s conference opponents for the 2026-27 campaign. The Nittany Lions will try to defend home court against Nebraska, Indiana, Rutgers, Ohio State, Michigan, Maryland, Purdue, Northwestern, Oregon, and Washington.

They also play the Cornhuskers, Buckeyes and Scarlet Knights on the road, along with away games against Michigan State, Illinois, Iowa, UCLA, Minnesota, Wisconsin and USC. Penn State was an abysmal 3-17 against the Big Ten last year, so they will try to improve that record next season.
