Penn State’s 2026 class picked up a new addition.
Isaac Chukwurah, a defensive lineman out of Delaware, announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on social media on Monday afternoon.
The Caravel Academy product was unranked at the time of his commitment, but quickly received a 3-star rating per the 247 Sports composite rankings. Chukwurah ranks as the No. 3 Delaware native, No. 78 defensive lineman and No. 821 overall prospect in the class.
Chukwurah held offers from several power conference programs, including Virginia Tech, Boston College and Wake Forest. He hasn’t taken any official visits, but scheduled trips to see the Hokies and Eagles. It’s unclear whether he still plans to take those visits.

Chukwurah picked up his Penn State offer just four days before his commitment, making a swift decision once the option appeared.
He becomes the 12th member of the Nittany Lions recruiting class and is the second defensive lineman, joining 4-star edge Daniel Jennings. With his commitment, Penn State holds pledges from two of the top three recruits from Delaware, with 4-star wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers being the other.
The Nittany Lions’ 2026 class ranks No. 6 nationally and third in the Big Ten, behind No. 1 USC and No. 3 Ohio State.
