The Penn State men’s basketball mass exodus continues.
According to On3’s Pete Nakos, freshman forward Miles Goodman has entered the transfer portal, becoming the latest Nittany Lion to do so.
Goodman was injured to start the 2024-25 season, making his first appearance against Northwestern on Jan. 2. In his lone season at Penn State, he tallied 1.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game on 58.3% shooting.
Despite the low playing time, Goodman was expected to see a sizable increase in minutes headed into next season with the departure of several other players, either to graduation or the transfer portal.
With his departure, he becomes the third class of 2024 recruit to search for greener pastures, joining Jahvin Carter and Hudson Ward, who entered recently. The trio made up the the Nittany Lions’ top three commitments in the cycle, leaving only Dominick Stewart and Joe Sedora remaining from the class.
Goodman ranked as a 4-star and the No. 3 recruit in Penn State history but will now be taking his talents elsewhere.
