Jacinta Austin had a bold result and a bold post-fight interview in her promotional debut with the PFL.
“The Juggernaut” picked up a first-round TKO win over Benita van Rooij on the main card of PFL Madrid on Friday at Palacio Vistalegre in Spain. Austin (9-2), a former UAE Warriors champion, stayed patient on a pressing van Rooij (7-2) until an opening came up for her to land a quick combination that dropped her opponent. From there, Austin jumped on van Rooij and landed ground-and-pound until the referee was forced to call the bout.

After the fight, Austin called for an opportunity at becoming the first PFL women’s strawweight champion.
“PFL you don’t have a strawweight champion. It’s a new division. Come to Australia; I’m waiting for that belt.”
