The Philadelphia Flyers announced they have recalled forward Anthony Richard from their AHL affiliate Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Richard is leading the Phantoms in scoring with four goals and five assists in seven games.

The 27-year-old spent last season in the Boston Bruins organization and notched three points in nine games in the NHL. He also finished third on the Providence Bruins in scoring with 55 points in 59 games.

Originally a fourth round pick of the Nashville Predators in 2015, Richard has been a consistently good AHL forward, posting 148 goals and 309 points in 488 career AHL games. He has eight points in 24 career NHL games with the Predators, Bruins, and Montreal Canadiens

The Trois-Rivieres, QC., native signed a two-year deal worth $775,000 annually with the Flyers this past summer.

The Flyers also placed forward Ryan Poehling on injured reserve in a corresponding move.
