PITTSBURGH – Five Panthers scored in double figures as the Pitt women’s basketball team rolled past Pitt-Johnstown 101–46 in exhibition play Sunday afternoon at Petersen Events Center.
Camille Dominick (seven rebounds), Angel Ezirim and Liv West each scored seven points to lead Pitt-Johnstown. Freshman Alyssa Altemus netted six points on 2-of-3 shooting in 11 minutes. Bishop McCort Catholic graduate Gianna Gallucci added two points and two steals off the bench.

Pitt led 19-3 after the first quarter.
Pitt jumped out to an early lead with an 11-0 run in the first quarter, sparked by Angel Jones’ quick five points. A dominant 30–7 second quarter extended the advantage to 39 at halftime.
Pitt-Johnstown outscored Pitt 24-21 in the third quarter.
Junior transfer Carla Viegas powered the Panthers in the second half, scoring 11 of her team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter. She went 5-for-6 from 3-point range, knocking down back-to-back triples to cap her performance.
Nylah Wilson added 15 points and led the team with four assists, while Mikayla Johnson also chipped in 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field.

Six Pitt freshmen saw the floor, with Megan Hollingsworth and Jayda Queeley earning starts in their collegiate debuts. Hollingsworth led the team with nine rebounds, while Queeley contributed eight points, four boards and four assists. Off the bench, Theresa Hagans Jr. reached double figures with 10 points and two assists.
Pitt defeated Pitt-Johnstown in exhibition play for the second consecutive season, following 2024’s 106–37 win. The Panthers shot 10-for-17 from 3-point range. Pitt’s defense forced 41 turnovers and converted them into 39 points.
