Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) played out a thriller on Wednesday night in IPL 2026 and it had an effect on the Orange and Purple cap race too. As the battle to sneak into and stay in the top four heats up, here’s a look at the most prolific performers in the season so far.
Ravi Bishnoi of Rajasthan Royals (RR) is on top of the table with seven wickets from three games at an average of 11.71. On the back of his 2 for 52 in four overs against DC, Prasidh Krishna, who finished with the purple cap last year, has moved up to No. 2. He took a wicket off his first ball of the match and also played a starring role in helping GT defend 210 in Ahmedabad. With two runs to win off the last ball, he produced a slower ball to beat David Miller and produce a run-out that ended the game in favour of his team.
Six bowlers are tied for third place with five wickets each after the 14th match of the season. Rashid Khan (GT), who took 3 for 17, and Lungi Ngidi (DC), who took 1 for 24, joined Vijaykumar Vyshak of Punjab Kings (PBKS), Anshul Kamboj of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Nandre Burger (RR) and Jacob Duffy of Royal Challengers Bengaluru RCB).

Finch: Jaiswal special because he watches the ball
Dale Steyn and Aaron Finch on the batter’s match-defining knock
RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal smacked an unbeaten 77 off just 32 balls in the 11-overs-a-side contest against MI on Tuesday. His knock took him to 170 runs in the tournament in three innings – dismissed just once – and he now holds the Orange Cap.
His swashbuckling knock against MI took him past Sameer Rizvi‘s tally by ten runs. The DC batter, who has made an impressive start to the season with two match-winning knocks, sits on 160 runs.
Eight other batters have crossed the 100-run mark at this stage of the innings, with Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (RR) and Rohit Sharma (MI) rounding out the top five of the leaderboard.
