Archers from across Europe and beyond will gather in Kamnik, Slovenia, for the Veronica’s Cup 2026, one of the longest-running outdoor target archery tournaments on the European circuit.
The event celebrates its 10th edition this year and will take place from 28-31 May, featuring recurve and compound competition across senior and youth (under-21 and under-18) categories.
Fresh from topping qualification at the European Outdoor Championships in Antalya, 2023 world champion Marie Horackova is among the headline names competing in Kamnik, alongside 2021 world champion Nico Wiener and recent European Games quota winners Alexandra Mirca and Amanda Mlinaric.
Around 390 archers from 40 countries are expected to compete. Qualification rounds begin on Thursday, followed by elimination matches on Friday and Saturday, before the tournament concludes with medal matches on Sunday.
The competition will culminate at the scenic Arboretum Volčji Potok, which hosts the compound and recurve finals and has become one of the event’s most recognisable features.
Organisers will also continue their sustainability initiatives, including refillable water stations, reduced plastic usage and locally sourced food options throughout the event.
