Like many members of Penn State’s Class of 2026, KAse Evans originally committed to head coach Matt Campbell at Iowa State. Once Campbell made the move to the Nittany Lions, Evans backed out of his commitment to the Cyclones to sign with Penn State. Evans had signed with Iowa State in the early signing period and was then extended an offer from Campbell and Penn State shortly afterward. Evans enrolled at Penn State for the spring semester in 2026.

Kase Evans has yet to see the playing field for Penn State as he is entering his true freshman season in Happy Valley in 2026.

Depth Chart Overview
As a true freshman, Kase Evans will be expected to be one of the deeper reserves on the offensive depth chart at the quarterback position in 2026. The position will be led by former Iowa State starter Rocco Becht, who transferred to Penn State following Matt Campbell. Redshirt freshman Alex Manske, who also transferred from Iowa State is expected to be the team’s top backup option. Evans is not the only true freshman at the position, either. He is joined by Peyton Falzone, who had a bit of an interesting path to Penn State in his recruiting process as well.

Football runs in the blood for Kase Evans. His father played quarterback for Houston and his grandfather, Bob Evans, was a defensive end for the Houston Oilers.
