Two games on Sunday, many players in action, and, therefore, lots of movements near the top of the Orange Cap and Purple Cap tables in IPL 2026. Here’s a look.
Prince Yadav was the best bowler in the Punjab Kings (PBKS) vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) game, which PBKS won by 54 runs. In a game where 454 runs were scored, Prince returned figures of 2 for 25. Prince has now picked up at least a wicket in each of his six IPL 2026 appearances. The two on Sunday took his tally to 11, the same as Prasidh Krishna of Gujarat Titans (GT) but at a superior economy rate.
Anshul Kamboj continues to lead the table with 13 wickets, and Ravi Bishnoi of Rajasthan Royals (RR) has now climbed to No. 5 with 10 wickets after picking up one against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
After Sunday’s action, RR’s Jofra Archer has eight wickets, the same as four others including Kartik Tyagi of KKR, who returned 3 for 22 against RR.
The one, two and three on the run-getters’ table haven’t changed, but a No. 1 from earlier in the tournament is at No. 4 now. Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad (RCB), GT’s Shubman Gill and RCB’s Virat Kohli have the top-three spots, and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi of RR is now in fourth position after scoring 46 against KKR.
PBKS’ Cooper Connolly is also on the rise after recording his second big score of the season – 87 in 46 balls. He is in sixth place with 223 runs, the same as RR’s Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 39 against KKR. Connolly’s partner-in-crime from Sunday, Priyansh Arya has also breached the 200-run mark – taking the number up to 15 – after his incredible 93 in 37 balls against LSG.
