St. Rose Set For Graduate Season With Irish
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — After a historic undergraduate career at Princeton, Madison St. Rose will join Notre Dame women’s basketball for her graduate season, the program announced on Sunday.
A 5-10 guard from Old Bridge, N.J., St. Rose has a lengthy list of accolades including 2026 All-Ivy League First Team, 2024 All-Ivy League Second Team and 2023 Ivy League Rookie of the Year. She was also a member of the 2025-26 Wooden Award Watch List, an honor given to the nation’s top college basketball player.
“We are thrilled to welcome Maddie to our Notre Dame women’s basketball family!” Karen and Kevin Keyes Family Head Women’s Basketball Coach Niele Ivey said. “Maddie strengthens our backcourt with her experience, three-level scoring ability and leadership. She brings size, defense and versatility on the wing, plus a high basketball IQ that fits perfectly with everything that makes Notre Dame special.”
Last season for the Tigers, St. Rose averaged 15.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 47.9 percent from the field. She scored in double-figures in 23 of 28 games, and she posted five games with at least 20 points. Two of those came against major conference opponents, including No. 9 Maryland.
St. Rose led Princeton in scoring last year en route to a fifth-straight NCAA Tournament berth.
Over the course of her career, St. Rose has averaged 13.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest. The Tigers made the NCAA Tournament in each of her four years on campus.
Coming out of high school, the New Jersey native was the state’s Gatorade Player of the Year and a two-time Max Preps Player of the Year. She was the No. 46 overall recruit in the 2022 class, per ESPN, and she was a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
St. Rose joins Hannah Hidalgo in the Irish backcourt, as two of the most dynamic guards in the nation will team up next year alongside a top-100 recruiting class headlined by No. 9 overall recruit Jacy Abii.
