
WEST LAFAYETTE — South Bend Washington 6-foot-4 forward Kira Reynolds has decommitted from Purdue.
Reynolds became the first girls basketball player from Indiana to produce a quintuple double with 14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals and 10 blocks against New Prairie on Jan. 4.
South Bend Tribune reporter Austin Hough confirmed Reynolds’ sudden departure after her father Steven Reynolds announced his resignation as South Bend Washington girls basketball coach on Tuesday.

Reynolds’ two older sisters Mila and Amiyah won’t be returning, Hough confirmed.
Amiyah Reynolds averaged 1.9 points per game and shot 34% from the field while Mila rehabbed a wrist injury in 2024-25.
The departure of the 4-star recruit Reynolds leaves Purdue with two 2025 signees, 6-foot-6 center Avery Gordon of Brownsburg and 5-foot-9 shooting guard Keona Douwstra, a 4-star recruit from Netherlands.
Kira Reynolds was the sought out player for Purdue heading into 2025-26 and beyond.

Reynolds averaged 14.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 6.0 steals assists and 3.5 steals and shot 52% from the field during her 2024-25 senior campaign.
