WEST LAFAYETTE ― The South Bend Washington High School migration from Purdue women’s basketball is complete.

Shooting guard Rashunda Jones has entered the transfer portal, according to a source from Purdue Athletics.

Jones joins her Washington high school teammates Mila and Amiyah Reynolds in the transfer portal, while her former Panthers head coach, Steven Reynolds, resigned as the program’s head coach on March 12.

Kira Reynolds, a 4-star recruit and younger sister of Mila and Amiyah, decommitted shortly before her siblings entered the transfer portal on March 12 as well.

Jones finished second on the team on the scoring with 9.8 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game, and shot 47.1% from the field for Purdue finished 10-19 (3-15) ― second to last in the Big Ten Conference and failed to make the conference tournament.

The loss of Jones followed a list of Purdue women’s basketball players who either transferred or retired. Point guard Jordyn Poole entered the transfer portal, along with shooting guard Sophie Swanson, on March 25.

Purdue is left with three players from last year’s roster: sophomore forwards Kendall Puryear and Lana McCarthy, and incoming senior forward McKenna Layden.

The Boilermakers will return 2023-24 guard Madison Layden, a 1,000-point career scorer, while also expecting to bring in 4-star recruit 6-foot-5 Avery Gordon from Brownsburg and 4-star guard Keona Douwstra from Netherlands.
