Alabama football found themselves in the midst of multiple nail-biting matchups throughout the 2025 campaign.

The Tide held an overall record of 11-4 last season, as head coach Kalen DeBoer was able to secure his first CFP win at Alabama during only his second season in Tuscaloosa. Along the way, Alabama had multiple games that came down to the wire in 2025, as many of those matchups proved to be a massive wins for the Tide when all was said and done.

Here is a look back at Alabama’s three best games from the 2025 campaign.

Alabama at Georgia, Sept. 27

Alabama’s first SEC matchup of the 2025 season served as a true test, as the Tide found themselves on the road in Athens for a highly anticipated contest against Georgia. Alabama took advantage early on in the matchup and held a 24-14 lead at halftime, as the Tide were able to hold on in the second half and ultimately defeat the Bulldogs by a final score of 24-21.

The win proved to completely flip the narrative surrounding the Tide following the Week 1 loss at Florida State, as Alabama secured arguably the biggest win of the season on the road against a heated rival.

Alabama at Auburn, Nov. 29

The Tide found themselves on the road in Auburn with a chance at the College Football Playoff (CFP) on the line in the Iron Bowl. Alabama was in a true must-win situation against the Tigers, and despite Auburn clawing their way back into the matchup following an elite first half from the Crimson Tide, the visitors were able to use some late heroics from the likes of Ty Simpson and Bray Hubbard to leave the plains with a win.

Alabama secured the win with a 27-20 final over the Tigers, as the Tide was ultimately able to punch their ticket to the CFP as a result.

Alabama at Oklahoma in CFP First Round, Dec. 19

Alabama traveled to Norman for a matchup with the Sooners in the CFP First Round. The Tide were quickly in a 17-0 hole in the first half against an elite Sooners team, but Alabama was able to quickly even things up at 17 following a Zabien Brown pick-six late in the second quarter.

Alabama was able to complete the comeback in the second half with a 34-24 victory over Oklahoma, as the comeback served as the Tide’s first CFP win since the 2021 campaign.

Alabama will kickoff the 2026 season on Sept. 5 against East Carolina, as the Tide will almost certainly have a multitude of close games once again on the schedule next year.
