The dust has settled in the college football recruiting class of 2025 and Rivals is putting a bow on the cycle by looking at the top programs by position. We move to wide receiver.

1. FLORIDA
FLORIDA’S 2025 RECRUITING CLASS
Vernell Brown III had been flirting with five-star status since at least the summer but we decided to hold off until the Orlando (Fla.) Jones standout was too dominant during his senior season and beyond. He should be an electric addition to the Gators’ passing attack.
Florida is the only program nationally to have three receivers in the top 12 as Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech’s Dallas Wilson flipped from Oregon late and Miami (Fla.) Central’s Naeshaun Montgomery stuck with the Gators after his August commitment.
Three-star Muizz Tounkara was another flip as the League City (Texas) Clear Springs flipped to the Gators from Arizona and while he’s not a blockbuster name like the others there could still be a ton of upside in his game.

2. TEXAS
The Longhorns might even be No. 1 on this list but in the final rankings there was a flip-flop of five-stars as Kaliq Lockett added another star but Jaime Ffrench, who had a muted senior season and didn’t flash much in the all-star events, slid down a little bit.
Still, there is an argument that this is the best receiver class in the country. Lockett was phenomenal at the Navy All-American Bowl and glides through his routes so smoothly. In the past, Ffrench has shown that he can take over games when he wants to and he has a ton of smoothness in his route running.
We might not be talking enough about four-star Daylan McCutcheon. He showed at the Navy All-American Bowl that he has impressive speed and acceleration. Production is no issue since he was outstanding at the Rivals Five-Star and then caught 89 passes for 1,160 yards and 18 touchdowns in his senior season.

3. GEORGIA

Georgia is absolutely loading up with pass catchers and we’re not even counting five-star Elyiss Williams and four-star Ethan Barbour at tight end. The wide receiver haul was very impressive and could have been even better as CJ Wiley and Talyn Taylor remained under five-star consideration until the end.
Wiley led the way at Milton, Ga., with 62 catches for 1,122 yards and 15 touchdowns even though Barbour and others had huge seasons as well under Miami QB signee Luke Nickel. Maybe no receiver in the class is better than Taylor when he gets a clean route off the line and gets one-on-one coverage.
The Bulldogs loaded up with Wiley and Taylor and then added some really nice pieces in four-stars Tyler Williams and Thomas Blackshear along with three-star Landon Roldan.

4. OLE MISS

OLE MISS’ 2025 RECRUITING CLASS
Ole Miss was so close to having two five-star receivers in this recruiting class. Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County’s Caleb Cunningham remained under five-star discussion until the bitter end and was so close for months. But he did no national events or camps and rarely competed against elite competition so getting a good gauge on his talent was really tough.
Winston Watkins Jr. had been a five-star earlier in his recruitment and he was very solid through his junior and senior seasons and at the Navy All-American Bowl, but other receivers moved ahead of him as the cycle continued. The Ole Miss offense – drawn up by coach Lane Kiffin – could be perfect for him.
Four-stars Samari Reed and Dillon Alfred round out an excellent class and Reed could be the real sleeper as the Coconut Creek (Fla.) Monarch standout wasn’t a regular on the national scene, either.

5. OREGON
OREGON’S 2025 RECRUITING CLASS
There were other programs that could absolutely have made this list but five-star Dakorien Moore is so far ahead of all the other receivers in this class, even the other five-stars, that the Ducks getting him was huge and needed to be represented on this list.
Moore had been committed to LSU and at one point the Tigers had the Holy Trinity of offense with Moore, five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood and five-star running back Harlem Berry all committed. Only Berry stuck with LSU.
Many thought the Duncanville, Texas, standout would end up at Texas but after a visit to Oregon – and subsequent ones after that – the Ducks won out. Moore is as talented as any receiver in the 2024 class even other than Jeremiah Smith so he should be immediately impactful.
And four-star Cooper Perry is no slouch. The Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep is the closest thing to Cooper Kupp (one of his idols) in this recruiting class.
