All three Richard Childress Racing cars displayed decals honoring Charlie Kirk during the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sept. 13 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Cars driven by Kyle Busch, Austin Dillon and Austin Hill will sport a red decal above the window that states, “In Memory of Charlie Kirk, 1993-2025”.
Kirk, 31, was killed in a shooting at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. The conservative activist was speaking to a crowd of thousands at the university when the shooting occurred.
RCR’s two Xfinity Series cars, driven by Hill and Jesse Love, displayed the same decals in the Sept. 12 race at Bristol.
Bristol Motor Speedway held a moment of silence on Sept. 11 before the Truck Series race for Kirk, 9/11 victims and local racing dignitaries that have recently died, and did the same prior to the Xfinity Series race the next day.
RCR owner Richard Childress introduced then-presidential candidate Donald Trump at a campaign event in North Carolina last year. Childress and the now-President reunited again when Trump appeared at this year’s Daytona 500.
