Dec. 13—ROCHESTER — It was another whipping by the Rochester Community and Technical College women’s basketball team, the Yellowjackets blasting Minnesota North College-Vermilion 111-17 on Friday.
RCTC led 34-2 at the end of the first quarter and 37-10 at halftime.
The Yellowjackets, who shot 49 percent from the field, were led by Allana Bates with 18 points. Macaya Copeland and Nyomi Crushshon each had 17 points and Marianna Franklin and Ivette Mendoz had 16 apiece. St. Charles graduate Makadyn Gust added 12 points and five steals.
RCTC finished with 26 steals overall. Bates had four steals and also 12 rebounds.
RCTC is 7-3 overall, Vermilion 2-10.
