Happy Thursday Husky fans. I was recently able to chat with 3 star linebacker Titus Osterman about his recruitment and commitment to UW. Osterman, who hails from Kimberly HS, ID, is rated by 247sports as the 70th best linebacker in the 2027 class. Osterman is one of 6 commits now for the Huskies. Here is what Osterman had to say to me:
UWDP: UW has been recruiting you for a while . How and when did UW first notice you and start recruiting you?

The first day I ever got a recruiting text was from coach Odom. He reached out and then he just offered me.
UWDP: You visited UW several times including a recent unofficial- what do you think of the program and coaching staff?
It’s everything a player would want in a school. Their recruitment was transparent, honest, and real.
UWDP: Besides UW which other schools were recruiting you?
WSU, Boise State, and Utah
UWDP: When you committed to UW- what made you want to commit this early and what were the things that drove your decision to UW?
I just knew I had to commit to UW. I felt like God told me that I should head to UW.

UWDP: How is your relationship with the rest of the commits and are you guys recruiting other guys to UW?
So far the relationship with the commits is good, but we haven’t really talked a ton. Yes haha, we are going to do a heck of a lot of recruiting for UW.
UWDP: Where does UW see you fitting in their defense (linebacker solely or maybe being able to play edge)?
They see me as a package player in the base defense which would be the stack backer. On third down play inside and be able to rush the passer.
UWDP: How would you describe yourself as a player?
I see myself as freight train I will run anybody and everybody over.

Here are some of his highlights (Husky fans you if you like a physical linebacker you will like his highlights):
