Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies had a scrimmage yesterday during spring practice. A top center in the 2027 class made his way up to campus to check out the Husky practice.
3 star offensive lineman Tristan Dare from Southlake Carroll HS, TX headed to Montlake for an unofficial visit to check out the Husky program after recently de-committing from Michigan. Dare, who is rated as the 55th best interior offensive lineman in the country holds offers from the likes of Michigan. Florida State, Nebraska, Ohio State, and Oklahoma. The Huskies are wanting to add an interior offensive lineman who can snap and they are heavily pursuing Dare (as well as 3 star lineman Reis Russell and whoever commits first likely gets the spot). Dare has a good frame and could likely come in and play early for most major college programs (he’s listed at over 6’3” and around 290 pounds via 247sports).

The Huskies also saw a 3 star quarterback make his way to campus this last week. Caden Jones from Crean Lutheran HS, CA made hi way to campus for an unofficial visit midweek it looks like. Jones, who is rated as the 35th best QB in the country by 247sports, holds offers from around the country but is looking primarily at Arizona, Baylor, Cal, and UW. The Huskies already have a QB committed in the 2027 class, but it sounds like they are keeping the door open to potentially add another one in the event that they lose some QB’s via the transfer portal after this season. Jones is listed at 6’3” and around 185 pounds. When you watch his film you can see how athletic he is (he plays both football and basketball at a high level). It will be interesting to see if the Huskies keep the pedal to metal with Jones and he posted he has an official visit scheduled with UW on June 5th.
That is all for today and over the next couple of weeks you will continue to see some 2027 and 2028 targets head to Montlake to check out the Huskies. As always follow me @asieverkropp.
