
Ohio State women’s basketball coach Kevin McGuff received a technical foul with 5:32 remaining in the third quarter of the Buckeyes’ first-round NCAA Tournament game vs. No. 14 Howard March 21.
The Buckeyes were whistled for six fouls less than halfway through the third quarter, which upset McGuff. He picked up the technical foul after protesting the latest foul, which sent Howard’s Ariella Henigan to the free-throw line.

Henigan missed both free throws; Ohio State led 54-26 after the missed shots.
McGuff also had a technical foul in Ohio State’s first-round game in the 2025 NCAA Tournament against Montana State. The Buckeyes won 71-51.
